Baggage Handling
Virgin Flight to Florida, uneventful.
Orlando airport remains passenger-unfriendly.
Security is badly organised.
After bags are claimed, passengers are obliged to hand back the bags to the airport authorities, who then send them to another part of the airport, where the bags have to be claimed again.
Why ? Don't ask.
Furthermore the airport also frustrates the passengers by at first providing trolleys to help the passengers with their luggage and then disallowing the use of the trolleys.
Then after disallowing the use of trolleys providing trolleys at a charge of three dollars to enable passengers to transport their bags the 100 yards to the car rental.

At each stage of the procedure bored officials look on impatiently and contemptuously at the overheated passengers as they are obliged to hump their luggage, from conveyor belt to trolley to security table to trolley to conveyor belt to trolley and off the trolley, lugged to an escalator and onto another trolley to a door that says, "no trolleys past this point." And so on.......
And none of this is do with 9/11. This is to do with incompetent organisation and contempt for passengers. Passengers do all the humping and lumping so why should they make it easier.
Shame on Orlando Airport.

Arrived at Orlando
Hotel was somewhat overly kid friendly.
Over-the-top bizarre movie theme dominates room.
Decide to evacuate and head south to Key West
